Small rejoice. I just got off the phone with all the hospital bill peoples. The Hospital is writing me off and the private doctors are dealing with me paying them $25 a month, whether they like it or not!! They didn't argue either. It was nice and I'm feeling pretty good about it. Oh....the radiologist is sending me financial aid and they may right off my bill too. Not to bad if I say so myself.

Good to hear it! Medical bills can be horrendous, and JMHO the doctors should be glad that you're making a 'good faith' effort.

Today I had a weird morning. I herded cattle.

I was on my way to the Post Office when I had to stop, because there were about 8 cows in the road. I was pretty sure I knew where they came from, so I drove down there to check and sure enough there was a pen with the gate open. I couldn't find the owner of the place, so I drove back and eyeballed the herdlet. They were all young (probably unlikely to charge me) so I figured I would try herding them back.

Cows, it seems, herd like peacocks, only not as fast as long as you don't spook them, and they don't fly. By which cryptic statement I mean that you can steer them by stretching out an arm and waving it on the side that you DON'T want them to go, even though they are far from that side and you couldn't stop them anyway.

This is why they are steak and we are on the other end of the knife and fork.

Pssh. Only you, ViVi. I'm the one who grew up on a cattle ranch, and you get to herd the stupid mooers. Then again, I live in midtown now (for the first time in my life, I've always lived on the fringes of civilization).

Yes, cows are dumb. That's why I don't shirk at eating beef. News flash, people--eating and giving milk is pretty much all cows are good for.

Vegetarian (n): Old Cherokee word meaning "lousy hunter".

I have to admit I was tempted to cut one out for myself. I mean, I know where these yearlings have been all their lives, the old man is kinda cheap so they are grass-fed all the way because grass is free. Hmmmmm grass-fed yearling, them's good eatings!

Loved it! I shared it on Facebook so my friend, Wendy (a guy), who is from Belgium (but lives in England) could see it.
