Watch as Misty turns forty colors after fangirling and hyperventilating about Adam Savage and wondering if there was a a chance in hell she could meet him and Adam Savage walks in!

Marvel as Misty nearly passes out when Adam Savage poses for a pic with her!

LOL, Misty! We love it when someone we can get all fangurly about goes all fangurl themself! My husband felt the same way a couple of years ago when he got to assist several of the MythBuster team members as a Science track volunteer. Only he didn't get any pics (silly man)!

Well, as sick as I've been all weekend, I could use a little rejoice! First after just a couple of days posted, I have sold my PD mini-Renee (on layaway). I regret having to do it, but she just isn't getting the attention she deserves.

Also, my AOD Wang Zi (who came to me with nothing but a pair of floral boxers) will soon be all decked out with clothes, a wig and some wicked cool eyes - http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?398609-New-special-eyes-by-CreamSoda-7.50-pr&p=6884986#post6884986. CreamSoda and her husband made the bloodied eyes for me and I bought both pair because I don't know which I like better. I got the idea after seeing one of Eyeco's eyes that had a bloodied look to them, but I only wanted one bloodied eye (so I would have had to buy 2 pairs of eyes to make one). I might still do that because I prefer glass or soft glass eyes, but I think I'm going to be really pleased with these acrylics.

Just catching up on the rejoices after not reading for too long. VV, that's fantastic! Now I *really* wish we could have made DCon this year. Big joyous hugs to everyone who's found something in which to rejoice.

My own rejoice: my husband's dream came true Wednesday night. We've been waiting to wrap up all the loose ends and become official, and now it's here.

OK you both officially rock. Him, for saving and obtaining it, and you for "getting it" why he wanted one.

I've got a cool little rejoice. Went to a local craft fair today and bumped into a miniture house hobbist. She was looking at these little hand made plants that were perfect doll house size. She over heard me talking about scale and we got into this long conversation. Well short story made long I ended up giving her a JS card and urging her to check out dolls. Mostly I did this because she didn't have any dolls for her doll house and has been thinking of making her own. I love converting people!!

Heh, it's even better than that...Fiberglass Freaks is our business. For the first time, a Bat-replica builder has been granted official DC permission to step out of the 'grey area' and produce licenced cars, able to legally use the name 'Batmobile' in referring to their cars and to *advertise*.

That being said...he's loved the car since he was a child. We met 20+ years ago while he was building the very first version, and I ended up helping him that entire summer. And he has poured his heart and soul into this business. (the last several years it's been much more a going concern than our film and video business.)
He is the kind of person who will set himself a goal and slog hard, through all adversity, to reach it. And now he has reached this. Where it will take us from here- who can guess? I will echo your sentiment, VV- he does rock, immensely.

And I do apologize for being a bit cryptic with the announcement. We've been in discussions and negotiations with DC about this since 2007. So as you can imagine, Mark and I were both a bit excited when the signed us-and-them contract *finally* arrived in our hands.

(And yes, the cars are gorgeous. Taking a ride in one is a serious blast.)
