We're hoping for shepherd, that would make a great service dog. If you look at a web site called the Boarder Collie Museum they come in brindle and have the saddles but not the more solid color of Tater and Maeb so hmmm...

Looking on line their shape is still BC-Aussie. I looked at rough collie puppies and some of them start Tater colored but their noses are pointier. Boxers would have rounder heads and squarer noses by now.

Well there's a tri colored regular collie across the street who may account for Dublin's pointy nose and Blarney's wavy hair. Will need to see if he's fidged but an image search of collie-aussie turns up very suspicious looking puppies. All the ears are flopped over and it'll be eyes opening next.

Never one to be out done our Flip may have made Tweed Merle puppies, especially where Blarney is concerned. Their speckled noses are a give away and they could have blue eyes. It's looking more likely that dad was that tricolored rough collie across the street as the pups are true sable, banded hairs, the dark backs and tails.

Wonderful website for figuring it all out http://musingsofabiologistanddoglover.b ... leles.html

So you get an idea how small they are, this is Maeb on the smaller side.

I've learned a ton about dog genetics, the black backs and tails actually mean the puppies have sable coats, their hairs are tipped in black, mom is a red sable. Mom is also white factored, the white sot on her and the puppies' hips. The pups with spotted noses are merles and could have blue eyes.

Daddy could be the local rough collie or she could have found a fellow with Aussie in it. All the colors and markings have roots in Aussies and Collies, even the brindle.
