Woah, where'd my last post go, lol? Here's the second try, with some updated content added...Resu wrote:I'm not sure where you got this information, but the site owner of Den of Demons is still on DoA and she's not banned. O_o
Nullcherri had an SN called "Sour." Ask what happened to it right after Den of Demons launched

All you would have to do to attract people would be to create a site with a Marketplace, Galleries and the ability to post WRITTEN stories as opposed to photostories and I think DoA might dry up and die.
That's true. And then you just need a site that's active. Resinality has a good thing going on, but sadly, they aren't active enough (which might be because they don't allow American bjds and vinyl ones, which limits conversation.)

Heaven forbid some po' child sees a doll with scars on it... that's way scarier than a doll dressed up as a genocidal psychopath.
What that mod did to you is horrible! The whole point of having a super-customizable doll is creating complex characters with it--- and dolls are just as diverse as the people who collect them. It's sad some people can't grasp that.
Besides, it's unrealistic to expect all dolls to be "perfect" and non-scarred. It's also offensive to expect disfigured dolls or people to "hide" their scarred bodyparts. Heck, perhaps if more people saw likable dolls (not just crude fap material) with scars/disfigurement, they'd be more tolerant of people with those. At my old school, facial scars/burns = free membership to the social leper club
If you posted the doll up here anyplace, PM me the gallery. If I saw it and forgot, my bad!

Thinking about it a lot of this sounds like cyber bullying, if you're like that on line I don't want to know what kind of person you are in real life. The best way to get "revenge" would be to abandon DOA all together. Network together to save the information you need form the data bases then let the crickets take over. Somewhere someone must have or want to do a data base without a chat board. I kind of would on my site if I could figure out how.
I agree! Although it isn't "revenge"... just common sense. Hobbies shouldn't make you feel like crap, and doll communities should be welcoming places.
It's understandable why many people don't want to leave Den of Angels, given that it has a content monopoly (tutorials, archived information, photo galleries, and marketplace items that can
only be found on DOA.)
As long as this monopoly remains unchallenged, mods will continue taking users for granted--- and see no reason to reign in elitism or abusive moderation. After all, people "need" them, and these mods and forum owners do not have to fight for every single user to stay on the site--- users come to them, they don't have to work for it.
If smaller forums like Dollieh Sanctuary featured a more welcoming, active community--- and more exclusive content (tutorials, photosets, archived data etc that can only be found here), then attitudes will change. I'm not the only one bothered by DOA's modding and content monopoly.
I'm interested in creating more tutorials, and archiving info... I can help out. If you (or anyone else) is interested, please contact my AIM: roxygotmoxie
