To "man up" just means to take responsibility for what you can in life. Nothing more. It definitely doesn't mean you have to "get over" when you're being dumped on by other people in life. Going to counseling is definitely on the list of 'man-up-ness.' Getting over something isn't on the list until you've exhausted all other options, and even then you're not expected to just get over things. That's just not how our hearts work. I really do hope you'll find a positive resolution in time.

I hope things work out Calivano. <(^_^)>

Thanks Okami, I'm not sure what our contracts state exactly. We seem to have a slightly different one for each retailer Walmart is just the biggest pain to deal with and they always seem to be trying to cheat you. We are considering not shipping the new order until all the old one's have been payed but it's really tricky as we need their business more than they need ours. A lawsuit would probably be a last resort. We do like having their business when they actually pay us.

There is a nocturnal bird species of bird whose mating call is the urban car alarm. The male starts his song in the dead of night and positions himself to echo off every building in the zip code.

The Lyre Tail isn't native to my area and at least he would vary his song.

Calivano, please make sure that the counselor talks to both of you together AND separately. You are both more likely to open up more without the other present at first. I wish you the best of luck making your marriage work. I will mention one thing that might seem a bit cruel, but I want you to be aware of the possibility. Your wife may actually be wanting to end the marriage, but because of her insecurities and emotional issues, she's trying to force you to make the first step. That way, she can always say you were the one who left and thereby justify everything she did. Don't allow yourself to be put in this position. You might consider bringing the possibility up with the counselor. And the only thing you have to "man up" for would be your kids. Especially girls. They need to see an emotionally healthy, stable parent. They need a father who exemplifies what they should want in a husband. Children see and hear everything, they just don't understand it all. Be there when they don't understand.

Qrinta, having been in a retail family for a long time, the thing your parents have to ensure is that Walmart pays them what their selling price is. You parents need to be the ones issuing the invoices, not Walmart. Walmart can issue purchase requests, but not invoices. And I certainly hope your parents don't send out product without first getting payment! I wouldn't trust even Walmart that far. Also, what Walmart then sells the product for is their own decision. I believe it is against federal law for companies to mandate a set price for retail. That's why it's called a manufacturer's "suggested" retail price. I know this because some of the major cosmetic companies got into huge trouble back in the 70s or 80s because they required retailers to sell their products at a certain price. If every store has to sell an item at the same price, there is no competition and that's not good for the economy or the end consumer.

I had to remake a whole surcoat yesterday and it's still not done. I ripped out everything and have the lining and outside all reassembled, but not back together. First dress is tomorrow.

Firstly, I'm proud of myself for knowing what a sucoat. I might actually pass my Fashion History class.

But, more importantly, I'm sorry to hear about that. =/ I think we can all relate to some sort of project like that, such as my doll head that randomly decided to hate sealant. I hope you get everything done in time! At least the very least, think of it this: You actually know how to make a surcoat. Not many of us know how to do that.

Kirafaye,
Yeah, considering the problems we had the last time we worked with Walmart I'm not entirely sure why we're dealing with them again. >< I believe all of the retailers have a certain number of days to pay for their purchases. We have a problem with every one of them paying on time. >< Some of the delay was Walmart trying to tell us they didn't receive the product which we know they did because they were selling it and before we sent that shipment they had nothing in stock. <_<

Cabela's is usually fine on making payments and they are our primary retailer so when Walmart undercuts their price so much that people would rather wait for boats to be re-stocked at Walmart rather than purchase the in stock boat at Cabela's things get kind of dicey for us. Walmart should be avoided like the plague in my opinion. >< Though I definitely understand the customer's mindset as I do the same thing. >_>

I'm sure things will get worked out, my mom is very persistent but we were hoping her stress level would go down a bit now that she's finished student teaching. Instead we just get a different stress.

Most likely a mockingbird, DK. I know they have them in California, and although they are not supposed to be nocturnal, they can and will sing and call all night long in mating season (which it is) because of street lights.

And yes. He actually is positioning himself where he can best get amplification/echoes of his call. They are extremely clever.
