Can anyone suggest a lumbar support for a really crappy office chair? I can't ask for an appropriate chair, even with doctor certification. Been there, done that years ago with similar issues. Or a good style of chair maybe? I will go to the office supply stores this weekend, but any suggestions would be appreciated.

Dissertation viva tomorrow; am a bit nervous but not as much as I probably should be! My old university's teaching techniques has made me rather blase about one on one interview style stuff for the most part. Eh my project is passable and that'll have to do unfortunately.

(Though gods this Finale Presentation I'm making is like pulling teeth! It should have taken an hour max to put together but motivation and an inability to cut the length down are making for slow progress)

...Well that was interesting, a couple of questions popped up that I'm kicking myself for not answering very well but the last 10 minutes? Gods! The last bit was wrapping up, asking what I thought of the course as a whole and then the project. Gave truthful feedback for the course stuff, and then the project stuff I diplomatically (or so I thought) blamed the funding situation rather than my supervisor (given that he was in the room). Assessor nods, then supervisor condemms himself by bringing up stuff that the deparment funds and therefore should have been free... The amount of cold fury directed towards my supervisor, and the truly pathetic excuses, where everyone but my supervisor was at fault for his lack of knowledge of the workings of the university... Gods it was a struggle not to laugh! So I've no idea how that's going to affect what my assessor now thinks of my project!

2 words- Ford Taurus. We've scraped together the price of the car but there's still fees and insurance and waiting for them to get back to us when we can get our hands on it. The number 8 is involved, my Doctor, and it doesn't have an air conditioner but none of our cars ever really have.

It's not a rejoice yet because it's not ours to keep it now just yet.

Almost certainly being hypocritical here but I've noticed even more of late:

The phrases "should of" and "would of" and other less acceptable variants where "of" is being typed when the word "have" was much more appropriate. It's weird, my grammar isn't great and that phrase is perfectly fine in spoken english, and the language is clearly evolving, but it really irritates me in written english.

Edit: Thanks Jany! Yeah it was an awkward situation to say the least! I'm hoping it'll mean my project is marked more leniently that it might otherwise have been!

Random rejoicy thing. XD So Utah is doing a Winter Ren Fest this year and they are doing giveaways on their facebook page leading up to it. I have now won some pirate treasure and a bronze pocket watch to pick up when I get there. So cool! ^_^

*grumbles* my post about getting the design notebook out for sweaters disappeared. I was going to make some armwarmers next, but I think I might just jump into the cardigan right away. it shouldn't take too long since its kinda chunky yarn?
