At least it wasn't your bank account.

With the new year I get the joy of saving for a new pricey toy that isn't a doll.

Vetinari, my Twitter was hacked as well as one of my friends. I caught mine quickly so I don't think they had time to post anything, but I saw a bunch of tweets in Russian on my friends account. All I can think is that this is a huge fail on Twitter's part. At least they don't have your bank account hacked.

Minor suck here...it will take a Christmas miracle for my Lizette doll to get here for Christmas. As per usual, Seattle loves to hold on to our packages. She's been sitting there for 2 days now. Oh well, at least I know I have Briar Beauty under the tree for me.

kenaiqueen You have that problem too, with the packages? I have a New York USPS office that I actually have nicknamed "the chokepoint". They've been holding on to my darn custom outfit for around 4 days. <_< Don't you actually want to....y'know, MOVE THE MAIL ALONG? Argh.

Unrelated BIG FAT MAJOR SUCK. Apparently my extensive blood test wasn't all received the last time my PM doctor saw me, so I go there this time to learn I pretty much probably have Lyme's Disease (4 out of 5 bands were positive) and may also possibly have Lupus. Not exactly the best Christmas present. They don't know what to do to me so I go see a specialist at a teaching hospital in Philly. Meanwhile still in horrible, unresolved pain. Boo Humbug.

But you have an answer and once you have an answer you can find solutions. They can start to treat your specific kind of pain.

Forgive me if I don't sound too enthusiastic, but this isn't good news, period. They're determined to push things long very fast in terms of almost "see, we did it she's cured!" to the point where they're not listening to some VERY specific symptoms that result from nerve damage. And it's not an answer, really. They don't know the problem. I received an "abnormal positive" which means something is screwed up way beyond their ability to cope with it, to the point where they insisted that I go to a teaching hospital because the doctors there have such extensive experience. They won't accept anything but one specific hospital, that's how serious they are about it. In the meantime, they're being very obstinate about the sort of medication they give me for pain, which makes me a pretty non-happy camper.

I'm really not seeing a silver lining here. Until someone gives me a definitive, I'm still in that nebulous "well kinda sorta" mysterious non-diagnosis area. And all of this takes time, and money, and my insurance railroads me at every turn. A simple MRI is like an interrogation.

Blah, forgive me, I'm just down in the dumps.

Chokepoint! Love it! I'll have to think of a similarly themed name for the Seattle facility. And I'm sorry you're in such pain. I hope they find a treatment for you soon. Sometimes, just getting a diagnosis is a huge relief. I thought I was just crazy til I got my IBS and Meniere's diagnosis.

kenaiqueen Haha, for some reason " The Seattle Throttle" comes to mind. Those damn stopping points drive me insane and I have no idea why they actually keep the stuff for long!!! I feel like calling up and saying "You like holding on to my mail?"

Eh, I don't think I'm crazy, I think I'm being treated wayyyy too lightly. I have spinal stenosis from a herniated disk and that's EXACTLY where the pain is, but they act like it's nothing. I need to find a good neurologist, but in the meantime I need to take care of the Lyme's Disease, which is dangerous enough being undetected for so long.

The good news is that Lyme's Disease is easily treated by an intensive, long course of antibiotics.

The bad news is that Lyme's Disease is easily treated by an intensive, long course of antibiotics.

Yeah that long on antibiotics will really mess up your digestion. I suggest you lay in some very, very good probiotics, papaya pills, and as many kinds of ginger as you can get your hands on. You're going to spend a lot of time feeling ready to throw up.

Oh how wonderful. I already spend my time feeling ready to throw up from the pain in my back (it literally twists me up until I hurl). I'll have to look up what you recommended and make sure it doesn't interfere with the time release patch they put me on. It's a new drug just approved in 2010, and it has all sorts of strange rules that seem to make absolutely NO sense whatsoever. Right now they just have me on a week's worth of the antibiotics because of the whole "abnormal positive" thing, they're erring on the side of caution and treating me as if I do have it, but they think I have a "cross disease", none of which are too wonderful.

Edit: Oh, nevermind, just read the bottle because my dose was due and it's actually three weeks of antibiotics. I'm going to be throwing my guts up. I already throw up until my stomach bleeds from the pain, the antibiotics are just going to do wonders.

tell your doctor you are having intense nausea, they can give you stuff for that.

in the ug, health stuff I'm having a bad flare of whatever the hell is wrong with me. stupid crazy working all the time schedule, I really need either a soak in a jacuzzi to warm everything up, or a couple days to rest and let everything settle. but seeing as that's basically impossible, it's advil and using my device to break up trigger points.
