My niece had a dinner party for her birthday. She is Indian and made real Indian dishes. I am in love. Daal bat.I love that so much! She also made a lentil/black pea soup which was lovely. I have all sorts of recipes now. I could easily go vegetarian if they are all as good as what she cooked for the family.

I second the notion!

And absynthe, I love Indian food too altho I generally have to make my own as the nearest restaurant is about 150 miles north, thru the mountains. Some of the regions have more 'spice/heat' than I really like too, so my cooking isn't very authentic.
Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.

considering applying to a growing serial comic anthology run by some good people from tokyopop. on one hand, I should do it because it'd pay and be good exposure... on the other hand I'm not sure I could keep up with 20 pages a month esp if I will have a job by then and I'd prolly have to hiatus my other comics I'm doing now. not to mention if I should use my old romance comic idea I have been rewriting, or use the fantasy story I have a few pages made for which would mean pulling the tumblr for it until I hear back from them...

Indian food is awesome! We have a restaurant in town, but we rarely eat out. I'll end up making my own. I understand about the spice/heat, and I can't tolerate too terribly hot/spicy, so I doubt if mine will be very authentic either. I can't wait to start cooking, though!

OH! I have a chance to get a queen sized Versailles style bed for Peter and Elsie! There's a guy somewhat locally that makes doll furniture and is willing to make it to scale for the 1/3 kids I have. He wants $450 for it, with shipping. I can't handle the 2 hour car ride there and then back to get it. But it will be the full bed with a canopy, and the fancy posters, along with all the bedding/mattress. I think he said he was going to throw a quilt in with the bedding, too. I think it's a pretty good price, considering. It's also going to be made from solid pine, 1/4 and then maybe 1/2 inch for the frame, finished with a polyurethane coating.

Any ideas because there is some room for dickering about the price?

ug, I hate getting rid of books, but I'm also sure I don't want to move 500 pounds of books when I get my own place. I am pretty sure I have more books than I do clothes.
I'm going to sell some of them at the city wide garage sale to raise some money for the cancer center at least.

I did a faceup on an articulated plastic horse...

Should I be concerned about some kind of possible OOAKing addiction?
