I miss my dolls. Especially Ivan! There's still nowhere to put them, shelf-wise, so they're staying in their boxes where they'll be safe.

Is it time to start a petition to fee Ivan? His hair is much to nice to be kept locked in a box.
Plus you know he's going to pout once he's released.

Apparently my Switch Ryun head is gone for good. The seller said that she'll put in an insurance claim and will refund me what I paid regardless, but I have to wait 4-6 weeks if that happens. I'm keeping a close watch on how this progresses. We are both out of a lot of money, so if I suspect she might have second thoughts about her offer, I will want to put in a Paypal claim before time runs out.

All I can think of is that poor Ryun head being thrown into the trash (and broken) when whoever opened it realized it wasn't some electronic goody.

Huh, one of those Sux that leaves me not sure how to feel yet. I just found out that my former brother-in-law, my late sister's husband, died yesterday morning. I always liked the guy but as is often the case in these situations, things got very heated and ended on a bad note when we settled her estate. We hadn't spoken in years and I really didn't keep up with him after I left NOLA. I do feel bad for his kids, his grandchild and his siblings.

It just feels kind of odd when I've been so focused on my daughter's birth to learn that someone who was once a big part of my life is gone.

New paid for app requires iOS 6, first generation distraction device has a 5. Thank you for the irritant of trying to get a refund. *Apple is doing their best to help.

But to further irritate things the first ear doctor didn't do his job as my itchy runny ear is still because there is black stuff in it. I was hoping the running was because of the wind storms and pollen in the air, beats swollen eyes, but alas not. It doesn't hurt, it's just bothersome.

Well, as if having my Switch Ryun head stolen wasn't bad enough, I just discovered this morning that my husband's Christmas presents were delivered at the same time..... so they were stolen, also. :(

The good news is that they seller I bought the head from can refund half my money this weekend and the rest in 2 weeks. She'll deal with the insurance. Hopefully, they will refund it to her asap, but it will probably take weeks.

Time to talk to your local post master about what the next steps will be. And if they don't help much find your local consumer reporter.

If you know what address they went to the post office can go after them for theft. The average person on the street would have decency to tell the carrier they have the wrong address.

I probably should leave him in the box, it will be quieter. Once he's out the pouting will commence. :-p

You bought a whole house that didn't include a doll room?

haha... sort of. Technically my little basement office is supposed to include a doll space, but the furniture that once housed the dolls is now being used in other rooms so until I buy or make something new, there's nowhere to put them. (this place is 2.5 times bigger than the old house and it absorbed all the furniture like the Blob.) I'd had the grand idea of building an actual 1:3 doll-house for them. My dad is retired, he can help and babysit at the same time. Maybe this summer! It would be a fun father-daughter project I think, and he can be oddly supportive of my weirdness, so it would be pretty sweet.

Geektopian wrote:Hopefully so! I still haven't done much with my crew since I stored them away before the birth of my son last year. I've only recently started blogging again and occasionally taking photos, although I'm not sure how much of that will continue when my daughter is born.

I hear ya. I have grand ideas and plans, but exhaustion drags me into a dazed stupor by 10:00 most nights. I'm sure the next year will revolve solely around my son and my new lifestyle.

EDIT: Okay. My Suck was too sucky to even be on this thread. Re-reading the post makes me sound like I need a therapist (not a bad idea for the sheer STRESS). But suffice to say it was over serious medical pain issues which are a life-sucking SUX.

We don't compare sucks around here. Medical problems aren't a race or a contest with anyone but yourself and your health.

I feel having to save up for a new distraction device with a more updated iOS to run half the apps I want to use when the one I have works fine is a suck. That's money I could use for a big doll or even a bed, funds I'd have if we didn't have to replace our car to cut that story short.
