Whelp ... day one of garage sale was basically a bust. Hardly any visitors and fewer sales. One of the downsides of living in the sticks, I guess - not as much traffic even though we posted on CL. Also, we have had 3 signs go missing since put out on Thursday afternoon. WTH? My husband thinks people want the metal stakes since they are reusable. That or they don't want the competition! LOL. :?

Sorry to hear it's not going so well. A thought on the signs, does your city/district require permits to post signs? Garage sale signs in Denver disappear all the time because the city is taking them down as the sign hangers didn't have permits. (And even signs with permits will be taken down if they aren't free standing, but it sounds like your signs have their own posts)

Someone threw a Farmville card at me today because I wouldn't let them take it out of the store without buying it... They missed

Possible - I can't remember how many foreclosed homes we looked at that had copper piping hacked off. However, these are just small steel stakes that cost 99¢ at Walmart. We think one (at least) was taken because someone later came by and placed their own garage sale sign a few yards away ...

We didn't do very well either day which is a bummer. We went to dinner at Buffalo's Wings Friday night on those profits and decided to just split the puny balance for play money without putting back any in our account. I guess I got spoiled after having so many profitable garage sales in the past. And I guess it's time to Craig List the remaining furniture ....

...On a Robert Carlyle binge... Plunkett and Macleane; fun film but could have been so much better! The juxtoposition of incredibly dark tones, and shoehorned humour just doesn't quite gel somehow. Though looking at the style I do wonder if it somewhat inspired Russell T Davis's Casanova series

Hamish Macbeth - amusing but so self-conciously Scottish in a really tacky way that I'm not entirely sure what to make of it. Of course it doesn't help that I'm viewing all of this through a Begbie tinted lens!

And finally Once Upon a Time; he's really the only thing worth watching in the entire show... It really does watch like a pantomime, between the writing (the duo behind Lost) the extremely dodgy FX, the majority of the "Fairyland" costumes that look incredibly prom-dressy and the acting by the rest of the cast...
Crazy Mulitverse Crew: Drax, Jareth, Jerome, Elrana Milenkova, The Thin White Duke, Vasily Lupandin, Ramin Aiphos, Theta Sigma, Aiko Koyame, Lord Havelock Vetinari, Dr Nicholas Rush, Anon., Nyta Kinall, Otto Kreiner, That Demon, Sasu, Yaya, Ombre
...reshelling Szesil Markowski and Garan Idasson

So totally disagree on all this. It's a fun show for me. Sorry you don't get the same pleasure from it I do. Only other thing I've ever seen Carlyle do is the Full Monty and a few eps of SGU (which I hated). I really like his Scottish accent and wish they could have used it on OnceUAT. He's doing a good job of being alternately evil/good.

My randomness today...it's time for second breakfast, isn't it? I want pancakes.
