SGU Episode 7: Earth - 1st episode where Rush's dubious trustworthiness (there must be a better/actually not made-up word!) comes up, was the plan to dial Earth a load of crock? Or did Rush just not want to go back?? Telford proves to be selfish, and O'Neill is surprisingly governmenty given his past form... Weird. The whole Eli/Chloe back on Earth scenes really didn't work for me though. Can't bring myself to care too much about the Young/Ex-wife arc
SGU Episode 8: Time - brilliant episode! Forgot how fun this one is! And Rush gets a bit of a chance to unleash his inner Begbie! And Eli finally becomes a semi-realistic human!
...Succumbed to the lure of the DVDs...
SGU Episode 9: Life The first episode where Rush truly did something that is outright unpleasant. Albeit apparently with good intentions. And the infamous Neural Interface appears! Young is an unjustifiably paranoid b*****d! Spying on everyone? WTF? The Earth plots? Meh... Still don't care about Young's personal life. Wray's was rather lovely though.
...Onto Justice and Space. Eek!
I know what's coming...
SGU Episode 10: Justice. Oh dear... Rush I know you're desperate to use the chair, but really? That is not the way to do it. And it's rather obvious that you did something... Franklin you poor fool! Young jumping to conclusions immediately... Greer is being his usual threatening self. Rush you idiot! And of course Eli has an AlienWare laptop... Rush stop being excited about the ship for one minute please? Pay attention to your surroundings? At least pretend you're sorry?? Young you terrible c***! That's murder! And likely not just your lead scientist, but the rest of the crew that depend on his knowledge too... God I hate Eli, he's so complicit in so much s***e by being "naive". Spying is wrong, covering up murder is wrong... Surely more wrong than Rush's behaviour, especially since he's clearly judging Rush for the way he's acting and yet allowing Young to behave the same way/worse?? The rest of the crew have to suspect something is wrong
SGU Episode 11: Space. The citizens are justifiably miffed with the military crew, and suspicious that Young is a murderer. Also Aliens! Squee! And attempted murder comes back to bite Young in the ass - serves him right. See? First space battle? Without Rush you're f*****! So Chloe is kidnapped... Young goes to rescue her, but finds Rush. As soon as he finds out Rush is onboard the enemy vessel he orders them to blow it up??? RAGE! And then Rush covers it up... A shared terrible secret...
Love the continuity - Rush has lost his ring, watch and glasses. Franklin's shirt was permanently bloodstained. But ugh hate how Young tries to justify his actions. Rush doesn't pretend he's a nice person, but Young, ugh...
