The Evil Overlord decided to make homemade Turtles, insisting she has not had chocolate in three days (despite the chocolate cupcakes going stale on top of the microwave). She also insisted on prepping the chocolate, then throwing one of her usual fits...

I am now stuck with reconstituting overly-dried-out chocolate on the stovetop using butter, hoping I can resoften the caramel mix (which I did from the start at her insistence) without making it too tough or scorching the pecans already in it after the chocolate is ready, and, as usual, basically doing all the work for the Turtles which I'm pretty sure she will still say /she/ made...

Geeze, arrowchild! I hope you have notified the park or plan to very quickly! First, they should pay your ER bills and second they need to know if that new coaster causes injuries!

Got the results from the oncologist. The nodule on my thyroid has tripled in size since Oct. of last year. I have the biopsy on the nodule and thr lymph nodes in my jaw (under?) tomorrow morning. Yay for 1mg of Lorazepam, right? I hope that pill makes me stupid relaxed. Wish me luck.

Arrowchild, sorry to hear about your experience on the coaster. I hope you let the park know...and that you heal soon.

If it helps any, Walmart told me i would hear from them in 1-2 days and it was almost 2 weeks later before they called.

Those are terrible. I had one and it SUCKED. Didn't go away for months. My grandmother never believed that I had one because SHE had one and nothing bad can happen to anyone but her poor self =/ that was my rant for the night. Hope you get better soon

Back from the oncologist. The doc was nice. My nurse stayed the whole time with me while i shook and cried. The doc doing the biopsy was worried when i started screaming. The numbing agent only worked for 15 minutes. *sigh* it's over and i am home, still crying. There are days i really despise myself. The older i get, the worse the panic gets. Results will be back in a couple of days.

if you have a mild social anxiety, the exact wrong place to work is a nursing home where you can't understand anyone asking you questions. >.<

Thank you.

New suck - no voice, my thyroid is swollen and pushing into my vocal chords. Call back next Tuesday to the doc...THEN when I get home, I find out my daughter was hit by a truck riding her bike home from work! She says she's okay, but she wouldn't tell me if she was hurt anyway because she knows I'd make hubby drive me to Mattoon and I still can't go on long car rides. *sigh* *sigh* *sigh* As long as she's not in the hospital I guess I'm okay. I'd call her but she'd not understand me. *cries*

oh man, absynthe, I'm glad she's okay! The swollen thyroid is horrible though :(

Welp, my car's officially back in the shop again. My dad thinks it's the linkage, but I had to call him while coming home from work and go to his house (with him driving my car and me driving his) to pick up my mother's car so I can get to my meetings tomorrow. He said that while driving it, it was all over the place while he was shifting.
