Projects: In Progess or Ideas? What'choo Workin' On?

The place for those OT discussions that you just HAVE to share in a doll themed forum.

One of my projects is finding a nice Smart Doll outfit with actual fasteners and the right look for my ancient Obitsu 60 lady (who so far is only a little floppy and discolored and sweaty) to wear.
I am Tam. Tam I am. I like green eggs, but I don't like ham. :D

I tried linking one of my adopted click pets here, but the board wouldn't let me. :/

You can do it! I believe in you. Richi's clothing is sorted by season and she has a separate box for costumes. Her storage boxes are kept in cardboard suitcases. I love those.

I needed tiny wrapping paper and decorative bears for a photo prompt. Okay, I just wanted a lot of tiny bears. The bears are made of polymer clay that I baked in a silicone gummi bear mold.

I haven't worked on doll stuff for forever. My current MMO has been eating up all my free time. I'm gonna try to do a photoshoot with my Obitsus this week, and sew some warm winter clothes for my newcomers from this year.

Update: I cut out three dolly dresses today. One for Mika, one for Spooka, and one for Kitty-face. I sewed up Spooka's, but it was too big, so I needed to make it smaller, so I trimmed it and sewed it up again.

Am busy searching for the perfect fabric to make my SmartDoll a kimono. I'm also thinking if I can't sell a Diamond Anniversary Aurora in blue, then I may just open her up and re-dress her in purple. I feel like I need to try to sell her first in case someone really wants her tho. Hoping to get all my 'not bonded' dolls up for sale in the new year.

I wish we lived closer to each other, I have a storage tub full of kimono-ish prints and other Japanese inspired fabrics, like people in kimonos and other old prints and photos, plus a DIY Japanese clothes book I'm not really using.

I wish you guys all lived closer to me just because I think you're all so freaking cool and wish we could have doll meetups, that would be epic.

Aw, thanks anyway. I have to admit, it will be a cold day in Southern Hell before I move out of Alaska and with present med problems, not likely I will ever leave the state again even for visits, as much as I wish I could do some meetups. In any case, I have some fabrics, but they are all fat quarters or scraps and with the pattern I have (free, found online), I'm thinking I'll need at the minimum half a yard. I will probably look at etsy as I haven't found anything local. Most likely I will have to wait a few months to get it. Meantime, I think I have the right fabric to make a 'modern,' short Asian-style dress for her.

Not that I wouldn't move, if finances allow. One way or another I do intend to get TF away from some folks. And at least I know y'all wouldn't mind dolls.

Would totally help if you had a heddle, that's the only thing standing between me and tablet weaving at the moment.
