We bit the bullet and paid for our income taxes to be done and it has paid off handsomely. So I asked the DH how much I could have for dolls and after some negotiating, he says not more than $400. :D Actually, the Tonner Deja Vu I want is only about $200 if I buy an outfit for her too. With the rest of the money, I'm hoping I can get my Patsys' arms replaced with the new jointed arms. I'm not sure they are available yet tho.

I would really like one of the WI Patience dolls, but the one I want is retired and the prices on evilbay are just too much for me, even tho she is still under my $400 limit. I just can't stand paying that much for her.

Keniaqueen, you are getting a Deja Vu? I insist on photos! They look so lovely! :D

Our tax refund will be going toward a previously cancelled vacation. This time we will be able to meet up with some family members we haven't seen in a while.

Mine gets to go towards a few repairs on my car, and paying back some money I owe my ex, and some bills that I owe from my last apartment that got forgotten about until the debt collectors started calling. Sucks that they went into collections but I'll get it all squared away. My rejoice is that after being in a three month funk, I'm finally starting to pull myself out of depression and move forward. I actually feel inspired rather than in a fog, despite what I've accomplished. I'm eager to get back to working on stuff for the dolls I already own, which is a great feeling. I want to get back to working on Keilah's knee mods, and I'm ridiculously pleased with how Zephyr's torso mods came out. Myrretah has encouraged me so much in my artwork. We're going to Dollism Plus in September, and we plan on having room sales. I'm looking for a new job, after that farce of an investigation for my boss's behavior, but I have a lead on something that could work out even better.

She's been on my want list for a while now, Kirahfaye. We are getting a pretty big refund and the majority of it will be going to pay bills, but the DH is a sweetie. (Even the entire refund wouldn't pay for his hobby...cars.) I'm trying to decide if I want the redhead flapper girl and the one outfit you can buy singly or if I should go with the set of three, keep the outfit off the blonde doll and just sell her nude. I will share pics when I get her which, if the refund comes as soon as they say, could be in a month or so.

We rarely have enough money for a decent vacation and leaving the state means I'd have to fly, which I hate. With my current medical reality, flying is really uncomfortable and I'm hesitant to even think about it. Maybe with next year's refund if we are caught up on all the bills. I'm keeping our finances this way so we will have a bigger refund next year too. I know they say to invest yourself, but we are terrible at saving and if it is at all accessible, my son will find a way to get his dad to give him more money than he already does. I'm just so happy we don't have to pay out again!

If you want the outfit and know the nude will sell then get the set and be @#$! if you do instead of regretting that you didn't.

And if you don't want to invest just squirrel some cash away in a fire proof safe or get one of those interest bearing accounts you can't touch for a little while. Try it out for a few months and see if you can make a longer go of it.
