Okay, now I can't figure out if you meant "backrub" or "bathtub" and it got auto-corrected.

I get kumquats and loquats confused with each other. We used to have a tree of one of them, and they were delicious. But I can never remember for sure which one it was.

When I was little (as in VERY little) I confused yellow and pink, for some reason. I could never remember which color was called which word.

I love, and always have loved the word "runcible" SUCH an erudite little word. Volumes of thought packed into three syllables! Pity it's so rarely used, but... then... like a diamond necklace... one doesn't just haul it out and fling it around casually! It's a very specific word. Words like that ought to be specific.

Other words that I enjoy: 'calamitous', 'refulgent', 'esurience' (THANK you Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, DARLING!), 'intransigent' and 'thixotropic'

Words I dislike intensely (I can hardly bring myself to type them! UGH!) are 'gal' (really! Can't you say 'girl'? HUSH child!) 'gasoline' 'nascent' (Eww... just... EWW) 'sloppy', 'potential', 'rural', 'circumlocution', 'rhubarb', 'khaki' and 'sputum' *yuck*

German words I love: 'fingerspitzengefuhl', 'weltanshauung', 'wulf', 'kammerjunge', 'Verein', 'selbstverstandliche' und 'zauber'

Ich hasse: 'achtung', konzentrat', 'kaffe' (Bleah!) 'bildung' (pew!), 'gemeinschaft', 'treff', 'gluckliche' und 'fuss'

Bathtub, and no not autocorrect, since I have that set fairly high tolerance on my phone, so much as it was me trying to use Swype. I'm going to need to get a new phone soon, and it is very hard to find a smartphone that has a slide out keyboard anymore. *facepalm*

My husband made up a great word, ninjistic. I usually use it ironically, but it's a damn good word.
