Well, the one doll is an "Elizabeth" Connoisseur Collection Doll by Seymour Mann. I can't seem to find her on the internet, though comparable dolls are going for around $30. And the only identifying feature of the other doll was that it said "Porcelain Doll" on the front. No brand or anything.
My friend's mom told me she gave me the dolls because I love dolls, but if I didn't like them I could do whatever I liked with them. (I would ask her specifically about repainting the dolls before I did anything, if it came to that.) When she asked me if I wanted them, I got the feeling that these were not dolls that had sentimental value for her. These were the only two dolls in the house, so I don't think her mother was really into porcelain dolls or anything. I believe they were mass-produced in the 80's or 90's, though I'd have to look at "Elizabeth's" certificate of authenticity to be sure.
Thanks for all the advice, guys! I really appreciate it!
