Those shows are one of the few reasons I really wish I had a small tv, I love those shows. Like Greyhaunt, I'm 1/2 believer 1/2 skeptic. I think it's all around possible but unless I've actually experienced it myself, I tend to wonder how much of it is just show.

Only thing I guess I can say I really experienced, would be visits from my dead cat Cuddles. Though, I was a total wreck when she died, so god knows I was probably looking for things and making them up. One thing that sticks with me is that, after I recieved her urn box, that night I saw energy (kinda had to stare at it for a bit though) emitting from it. Ex co-cworker of mine is Pagan and she said it was Cuddles. Hell, it made me happy.
I took a lot of pictures of my mom's 8 month old kitten, Patches, as he was dying from an incureable disease. Wanted to have a lot of pictures for her to remember him. In one she swears she sees an angel orb hovering over him. Maybe I'll borrow the pictures and scan them to show. See what you guys think.

...The very idea of some wandering spirit getting trapped in my dolls both worries and excites me. Problem is you never know if it's a good or bad one. It's like Russian Roulette.

I'm always trying to "see" something, so I like to go on Ghost Tours when they start up... I never have much luck though. :/ I must not be someone whose "psychically tuned."

I've lived in houses I believe were haunted. The one I've lived in for the past ten years is not and that is just fine with me. As far as the dolls being empty vessels I think most of us discover or assign characters to our dolls so technically they aren't empty.

I saw that show and I agree that women needed to be on Hoarders.

I think the TV shows at a lot of hooey, but I'm definitely a believer in the paranormal. Heck, I talk to ghosts all the time. -shifty eyes-

Once, there was a cat in my dorm room, when I was in Elmira College. I was on the phone with my fiance at the time, and I was going "holy sh!t there's a cat in my room! How did he get in here? My window is closed, my door is closed... Ah ohmigawd he just walked through the wall!" A few minutes later, he reappeared on the shelf over the extra bed in the room (it was a double, but my roommate moved down the hall mid-semester) jumped down to the empty desk, and then did a cheshire cat move and vanished mid-leap on his way to the floor. It was awesome. Then there was the abandoned Cowles Hall, the original campus building. It was built on top of what started as an Indian burial ground, then became an execution hill. Talk about asking for trouble. The building was condemned years before I got there, but if you stood in front of the building, you could hear girls laughing and the sound of an old school bell... but if you walked around to the side of the building, there were flickering lights inside the windows, and once, I heard what sounded like a piece of wood being struck by another piece of wood. Thomas Hall's south stairwell had a demon dog in it. It's front legs were on backwards, and the head looked like some deranged, rabid black wolf with, of course, glowing red eyes.

Catshem...oh, I very much believe you. You see, On the 10th of this month I had to put my very beloved 16.5 yr old cat to sleep. He'd developed renal failure and has basically been going downhill for months and it had reached the point where he needed peace. This weekend (my first catless weekend in some 20+ years), I was trying to nap and I felt his paw press on my leg, and then felt the shifting of blankets as he walked up to me. I looked up expecting to see my dog as the culpret, but she was not even in the room so there is no other explanation.

On Sunday the same thing happened again where I felt the approach of a pet and looked up to find no one there. I know it was my baby (I raised him from a 1 month old kitten) letting me know I wasn't alone.

I'm so sorry to hear that :( It is not easy to lose anyone, pet or human, that you loved so much. The only way I was able to get past Cuddles' death was to adopt another cat. Some people would call it replacing, but he looks nothing like her (though kinda the same temperment lol) I know Dr. House is not Cuddles, and he was the biggest help in moving on. My mom even claims she felt Cuddles brush up against her leg once, and none of the newly adopted kittens were around. I find that amusing since mom was not fond of her while she was alive and healthy. When Cuddles got sick and was dying she became more empathetic to her.

I am a silly person and I sorta pray over her urn asking her to protect the house. *shrug* I don't know, I figure "Hey, if you're here, I love you and please protect us?" lol

Also, do you by any chance remember the episode of the woman with the haunted dolls? I'm trying to track it down to watch.

I want my own demon.

Stick to the ones in manga/anime and making doll ones - the real ones are not the sort of thing to be mucked around with in any way shape or form.

But...... I want one like the one in "Paranormal Activity"!!
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

Thanks Catshem... actually I am going to adopt another cat in the next month or so - I just have some financial stuff I need to get over first before I get one :) Like you I know I'm not replacing Cyrano - that couldn't ever happen - just bringing home a new family member. It's so wierd not having a cat, I've had one since I first moved away from my parent's in 1987!

My husband almost begged me to not adopt another since he's allergic, but I just...I'm sorry love, I couldn't move on with my life until I did. lol ^_^; My family has owned cats since I was born, I don't know or understand a life without a cat. I tell my husband that if he dies before me, I'm filling the house with cats lol.

I keep glancing at my blank slate 27cm Slim male that I'm making into a Tarot card representaton, and I wonder if some wandering spirit got stuck in him now.

If so, I'm so sorry I didn't mean to! ;_;

The only supernatural powers I believe in are Jesus Christ/God and Satan. When I look at the realm of potential spiritual/supernatural happenings and compare it to what I know of the Bible, this is the opinion I derive: Angels don't muck around with that kind of stuff. Demons do. So my position is to stay away from those kinds of things. It seriously creeps me out. :?

edit: I just watched the episode. I think the lady was more of a hoarder than a collector? Her entire house was overrun with them. That kind of clutter can't be healthy, physically or emotionally. I felt really sorry for the girl. I hate to see such a young kid troubled with a situation so emotionally traumatizing. It's 2:30 and I'm barely coherent, so I'm off to bed for now.
