i am from florida, been here like 5 months, costa rica in the central valley really isn't like you might think.
People don't sew, like at all they think it's odd to even mend stuff the only fabric stores are for interior design firms, no thread, sewing needles, notions, trims, consignment shops, it rips , or tears they toss it and buy new.
The only markets (like flee markets) are for food only.
The art fair is only once or twice a year, only custom stuff is "hand made barbie clothes) $1 or less very basic.
they don't sell packs of doll clothes here you just buy a new doll. There are no addresses mailman does not come.
you pay for a mailing service and get a mail to ask descriptions when something is coming in.
the unique items are like not around here, we have guess, converse, department stores like 7 businesses owned by wal-mart, skechers, dockers, and tommy, costo, apple, sony stores etc. bilingual book stores, resturants everywhere, lots of grocery stores similier to whole foods, nothing even close to a joanns, or a michaels, or any quant little things you might think anywhere close to where i live. and we don't have a car yet. plus i am almost 6 months along on child #4 so i don't have alot of free time to do that stuff anymore.
