Not too thrilled just now. Debut Delilah finally shows up at almost 6PM and she's STAINED. No, there was nothing in the blurb I read about stains. If there had been I likely would have bought the doll elsewhere. To be fair this doll is apparently one of the first Delilah's and this was an issue with the early ones. They were apparently swapping out bodies there for a while for people who got them stained and they also later relined her outfits better and provided a body stocking for this doll. I'm a little annoyed though that the seller apparently didn't check to see before they shipped her off. I emailed them. I want to see what they will say before I write any feedback.
She is stained a bit red on her butt and has black all over her knees, back and front. I was tempted to just return her but I do like the style of the old bodies and having an older version of her means I've got extra flat feet now that can fit Dahlia too. I've got two of each body style and each style has a set of flat feet I can use. So I guess I won't. I can always cover up the legs and butt with tights and likely will anyway with a body stocking type thing because if she's going to stain this badly I will have to do that to protect her from anything she wears.
I swapped out her eyes already and I'm about to go looking for a wig. She's got the standard black and blond wigs for Delilah. They're cute in style but I'm not really into them. Otherwise she looks a lot like PIP except her brows are just a bit less artistically drawn. She's not got quite as much eye liner as I would have expected given pics I've seen of her. The lips are a little bit darker but almost the same color as PIP's were. Nails are black. I'm not too sure about the dress for the Violet outfit. I love the frock coat and the boots but the rest, eh, I'm not sure I am as into it in person as I was looking at the pics. Ditto her school girl outfit though I liked the shoes and feel it is all very well made.
Crap. I just found more staining on her one thigh. Let's hope the eraser works, sigh...
Update: I just got a very lukewarm response back from the seller. I'm not impressed. They admitted they didn't even look and basically they blew it off, not bothering. Couldn't care less that this doll was defective so long as I am not returning it. Likely they'd be charging me to return it too given another feedback I just read so I am definitely not going to deal with them further. I would never buy another doll from them ever again though and they will not be getting good feedback from me. I wish I'd seen that before I ordered from them, but I didn't so whatever. Likely the sponge will work from what I've read it has so I am going to try that later...
