Hmm, I hadn't thought of this happening, but thinking about it now, it seems totally plausible, even with some older shaped dolls.

I know several dolls (including larger ones) who's gender doesn't match their resin bits and unless they're naked you would never know. So long as the doll is happy in her/his clothes/look I wouldn't bother getting a new body, especially at that size.

You could always buy a girl body of what ever brand that one is with a boyish head and swap.

So few of my guys have male bits it's never occurred to them, and the only two plastic guys who had them swapped to better jointed bodies without a care. Of my babies one I feel is genderless and can wear what ever they want without a care.

I think I may just change his clothes. I ordered a lovely pink dress for him yesterday so if he's happy with that then I won't bother getting him a new body. I was only surprised because he was such a rough and tumble little thing. :D

I have paternal twin Limhwa Do dolls and just changed the boy out of his pants and into a dress and borrowed his sister's wig. I've toyed around with the idea of doing that for a while. I love his tan resin, but wanted a tan girl. He's looking at me like he's not sure what I'm trying to do to him, but since he has the Do face, he looks just like the girl. I'll leave him that way for a few days and see what I (and he) thinks.

I would not, however unman him - LOL! He makes a great boy, too.

I've had Ramza my Soom Trachy's surprised head declare itself not just his other head but a dolly unto itself and a girl, which was a surprise on two levels because at that point I didn't have a BJD girl (13 guys plus one more on order at that point). I do now have a second girl, bought specific to be Lilia-head's best friend and well Lilia finally has a body from Bobobie as of yesterday. :3 And now I have a Morphoa that is somewhere between DZ and MoC, can't waaait! But I digress. XD

I've known that a doll was going to be a boy instead of the girl expected by the majority, just from looking at the blank head pics (MNF sleeping elf vampire Chloe event head). And I'm sure a lot of us have gender-swapped a doll based off "that head looks like the opposite gender / looks like character x I want to shell" but as to the doll actually declaring itself the other gender after I've supposedly made up my mind... hmm. Haven't had that happen so far. I've waited on dolls to see what gender they want to be, but haven't had one flip from one I was used to / expected, to the other. Considering how dolls tend to work... it's probably coming sometime in the future, even if my brain doesn't even think it'd believe/buy the gender switch. XD Maybe technically it's already happened with Lilia cuz I thought the surprised head was Ramza's and thus a boy by default even though several people did get Trachys with the intention to make them girls.
