Guess I'm working on two sewing projects right now: Vileplume, my original "test project", and Mega Gardevoir, the "big one". (Mostly to cut down on thread-and-bobbin-changing.)

As of this writing, all appliques have been sewn onto Vileplume's petals and I've put Gardevoir's upper arms together. Not a lot of progress, but I spent most of it struggling with the fleece I'm using for Vileplume and Mom had to troubleshoot the sewing machine several times--it can't back-stitch without catastrophically shitting itself, so all that thread has to be secured manually. Not looking forward to the appliques required for Gardevoir's face.

I've decided I don't like my story for Shadow and Lucas, it's way too angsty and too high stakes. I'm gonna write them something new that's way less traumatic and doesn't have the survival of the human race hanging on their success or failure. Nobody needs that kinda pressure.

It is amazing how quickly a story line can go from 0 to 1,229,303,985, isn't it?

I know, and that wasn't at all what I'd wanted when I started. So, since I can't make any money off my writing anyways, I decided to stick them in the Star Trek universe, because in my head that's literally the best possible outcome I could hope for. They get saved by a Federation ship and get treated real nice and get to be happy and play with Star Trek toys.

I'm working on a story that was inspired by Star Trek but came down to earth as the idea of behind the scenes of a Star Trek like show became the setting. It has an adequate if not super long draft that I'd still like feedback on. A few years ago I decided to rewrite because of values dissonance and a few other reasons but too much got gutted. Just did a basic restructuring, somewhere between super detailed notes and a draft, and just made sure I have enough paper for the next round.

Don't know how but I went thru a love-severe dislike-I'm sorry I treated you like that let's get to the bottom of it with one of the characters in between it all. But also there was a severe cultural shift in the cause of their major plot point and if I didn't get rid of it an re-examine their motives I would have lost the whole world I created for them entirely.
