Doll related projects are, like, six reroots. Three of them are on Integrity dolls, so pray for me. One of them is going to require me to punch ALL the holes in his head because he's currently flocked, not rooted. Pray for me, y'all.

I feel ya, fellow rerooting aficionado! :hugs: I just did an IT like hard head and also a similarly hard Frankie Stein super hard huge 'styling hair head' with rooting, wigging and flocking! So I know your trepidation!

For the super hard heads, I keep dipping them in almost boiling water as I root so the heads are more pliable and the plug/holes don't split as easily. It was the only way I could root (without prior holes) in the IT style head I just for Clash.

Good luck!!!! Godspeed!!!!! :hugs:

Yeah, that's the worst part about the Integrity heads is that you have to keep them heated up or use super small needles. I'm glad I've got an electric kettle with temperature controls.

Finished a doll project. I found this poor naked and abused 9" Moana at a thrift store in the .25 bucket and she was so pathetic, the clerk wouldn't even take the quarter for her! After cleaning, washing hair, trimming hair, perming hair, sewing clothes (except the top skirt I got off ebay for $2) and making her a crown and necklace, ta da! Princess Moana.

Nice work! I never would've guessed that you'd found her in a poor state from these photos.

If Toy Story were true, @kenaiqueen, this little doll would be your brownie for life!

Y'all, pray for me, I think I'm going to start one of the Integrity boys tonight. I COULD do the Ken doll, but no, my brain wants me to suffer.

Going to try and work on patterns for the replica lady doll again. She's so tiny in places that the seam allowances are almost bigger than her, and her upper body is basically funnel shape.

Got a small bundle of Fashion Fever clothes in (some of the black, red, and white set). It's had an oxiclean bath (the dress could probably use another one). A lot of it is need of minor repairs, like Velcro coming loose and seams that have failed after 18 years. It's all stuff I can do by hand in an afternoon. I'm just glad to finally have some new stuff coming into the collection. Seasonal depression kicked my butt this year (a long with other things that have made most of us depressed), so I wasn't really buying anything. I really like the way some of the pieces are made, so I may lay them out on a sheet of paper and see if I can finagle a pattern.

Oh boy, that "simple project" turned into a mess. Fun fact: The red is definitely NOT set. It spread into the white part of the clothes. Thank GOD for vinegar. Now the skirt that was turning ORANGE is fixed enough that you wouldn't know it had been stained unless you know where the stains were.
