A pretty party dress

I made this dress for Dove, my BBB Pixie, for her to wear to Tekkoshocon. It's going to have a tulle petticoat to fluff it out, but the material won't arrive till tomorrow. I'll post more pictures once I've got that made up but for now, here's the completed dress! It's got a zipper up the back and it's my first attempt at a circle skirt. And a better shot of her wig now that I've trimmed it. I'm still considering getting her a different wig in the same color but for now this one works and fits her well.

Awesome work with the bodice! I like the seaming a lot! The color of the dress looks great on the chocolate skin tone.

Dress is so cute, that pattern on the top is awesome!
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

Thanks all! The fabric was a remnant I grabbed for Peaseblossom, but I think it does look better on the chocolate resin than the lilac. ...though I'm a little tempted now to put Pease in it and stick in the grape jelly eyes and borrow Ariel's purple wig, just for lols. The tulle arrived today so I'm going to start working on the underskirt soon...just too tired to do anything today. It's a little loose in the waist though, I may tighten it up a little once I've finished with the tulle and I see how it fits underneath.
...Now I just need to make the petticoat, make a Mini size doll bag, and do at least some touch-ups to her face depending on the materials I have/can get my hands on at Michaels. By Tekkoshocon, which starts the 31st. In all this free time I have to do crafty stuff. ...Yep.
