Tonner Trixie w/updated photos

Postby kenaiqueen » Thu Jul 17, 2014 5:31 pm

My new girl arrived this morning: Tonner's Trixie, Patsy's friend. This is the basic model. They had a dressed one too but I didn't like the dress well enough to pay for the extra amount.

I named her Maya Mae after writer Maya Angelou and astronaut Mae Jemison.

She's got the most adorable face, but I am not liking the afro.

It's a glued on wig, but it's likely I will be pulling it off and getting her something different. I may try to trim it down first. It's so big, it's obscuring her face!

Here she is in the new dress I made for her.

She is a cute doll and has a sweet face. I really like the dress you made for her. It is adorable on her. How tall is she?

Thanks! She is 10" tall, but I usually put her & the Patsy dolls in this forum because they are in proportion with my other 1/4 size dolls. Kinda like little sister dolls.

Is the wig braid-able? I always had pig tails as a little girl. :D

I do many things well, but hair is not one of them! I tried some braiding, combing, fixing and finally just washed it. She looked even worse!

So I got out the scissors:

Much, much happier with this look! I think she looks adorable! I may still pull it off and use other wigs, but this will be her default for now. I blew my budget on shoes/boots for my 10" girls, so new wig will have to wait til next month anyway. She's got her new patent white maryjane shoes on.

I am also now tempted to start cutting on my American Model's afro wig. Maybe.

Awww! She is adorable with her new hair cut. The little flowers were the perfect touch.

Oooo. Her hair looks so much cuter with the shorter hair cut. You did a great job for some one that said they don't do hair so well. *grins*
